New Eruption at Jabal al-Tair

SANAA, 4 December 2007 (IRIN) - A volcano on a small uninhabited island in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen erupted again on 3 December after previously erupting on 30 September 2007.

Jabal al-Tair Update

Update on Jabal al-Tair from Gulfnews, on 10/4/07:
Hodeidah, Yemen: A volcano which erupted on the Yemeni island of Jebel Al Tair began spewing lava again on Wednesday evening.
The news was confirmed by Hussein Abdul-Rahman, head of control center at the Naval Operation Room.

Breaking News: Yemen Eruption (Update 11:53)

A volcano has erupted on Yemenis island erupted overnight. The volcano is called Jabal al-Tair, according to news reports.
